When the various energy sources are drying up very fast nature has the potential under the wind energy in abundance. Of late many countries are in the process of exploiting the wind energy by establishing windmills. Companies are making the turbines and other parts pertaining to windmills and are even undertaking to erect it as well. Almost all the State run Electricity Boards are ready to take the excess electricity produced the windmills.
Some of the Corporate houses are going in for windmill projects to meet out their own requirement through the grid provided by the State Electricity departments. Many State Governments identify the various potential belts to establish windmills by proper survey of the area based on the wind velocity and wind blowing pattern. In future, in view of the exorbitant price of various petroleum products much importance will be given to wind energy
